I came to spiritual practice as a teenager, distraught by the meaninglessness of life as it was being presented to me. I was driven to seek something beneath the surface story. Spiritual practice and the search for what's actually true became the through-line of my life from then on.

The past two decades have been one long apprenticeship in inner work. Some of it has been years of study within a single tradition. Much of it has been following the breadcrumbs of truth wherever they appeared. I was drawn toward any practice or teaching where I felt a real spark of aliveness, any modality that seemed like a step forward on the path. All of that exploration has been beautiful and supportive, but eventually I had to step off the personal-growth treadmill. The compulsive quest to fix myself had become its own obstacle. What I was looking for was always already here.

For most of my adult life I worked in tech as an engineer and engineering leader. Eventually it became clear that my real work was elsewhere, and that I needed to leave the security of that life to live from what was deeper in me. This work is an expression of that deeper calling.
